Here is your simple starting guide.
What the Focus Wand Helps With
The Focus Wand is designed to support readers who:
lose their place or skip lines
feel visually overwhelmed by blocks of text
get distracted while reading
struggle to keep their eyes moving smoothly
need a clear point to follow
It gives your eyes one clear green point to track.
This helps reading feel:
calmer
clearer
more controlled
How to Start
The 30-Second Rule
Start with just 30 seconds.
Do not try to read perfectly.
Do not worry about speed.
Just try these four steps.
1. The Grip
Hold the wand far enough back so your hand does not block your view of the page.
Point the green tip towards the text.
2. The Placement
Place the wand:
under the line
above the line
or across the line
There is no one perfect position.
Use whatever helps your eyes stay with the words.
3. The Movement
Slide the wand along the text at a steady pace.
Follow the green tip with your eyes.
Let it guide your gaze across the line.
4. The Return
When you reach the end of a line, return the wand to the start of the next line.
Keep the movement smooth.
Then continue reading.
Once the rhythm feels easier, keep going.
What to Focus on First
Focus on tracking, not speed.
Your first goal is simple:
Keep your eyes moving smoothly along the line.
Speed can be built later.
Meaning matters first.
You Are Using It Well When:
you lose your place less often
your eyes stay on the line more easily
reading feels calmer
you feel less distracted
you can explain what you have just read
you feel more confident to continue
Remember
Small practice counts.
Short, regular use is better than forcing long, tiring sessions.
The goal is not to rush.
The goal is:
Smoother Tracking + Stronger Focus = Clearer Meaning
This is the first step towards better reading flow.
